Carol's Cottage Place

The mother of a friend of mine has a sizable space in a local antique mall and I thought you might like a tour.  Carol, my friend's mom, has been in the antique business for quite some time, is a former doll restorer, and does amazing handwork too.  In addition to her antique booth, she & her husband operate an ebay store at Lindys*ltd.  She's one busy lady and she has a generous heart too.  A few years back, Carol found out that I was looking for a Thumbelina doll from my childhood and a few weeks later I received one in the mail from her as a gift.  She has had my heart every since.

My picture taking skills will never adequately show her treasures in their full beauty, but come along on the tour anyway and enjoy!

This is the old grocery store that was converted into an antique mall--located on west
Douglas in Wichita, Kansas.  Love that font they used for the lettering.

Here's the view on one side of this large space.
Notice the porch swing holding the pillows--how cute is that?

Thought you might like an up close and personal look at these luscious pillows.

Continuing around the shop, that patterned wall in the background is actually a crocheted tablecloth--she had them on all the walls!   Are you drooling yet?

This was a darling burlap stocking leftover from Christmas for $5!
I love the trim piece at the top.

This little stool does not have three legs--that is a table leg coming through--ignore the poor shot and admire this cute-as-a-button burlap footstool.

 I LOVE that lampshade.

Hope you enjoyed Carol's Cottage Place.  Carol will read this, so leave wonderful comments for my friend.  As always, thanks for reading this little blog.  Until next time--Robin

P.S.  This is a cute little light I notice as I walked out of the antique mall that I just had to share with you.  It is an old glass insulator that has been drilled through and fitted with a light kit.  A very easy DIY project.  Wouldn't a trio of these look cute over...........anything?
