House Tour Tuesday, Second Bedroom

If it's Tuesday, it's time for another room tour.  This is the second bedroom upstairs.

The iron bed was purchased many years ago.
The quilted pillow in front of the large pillows features a
hibiscus and sea turtles--two of my favorite coastal accents.

The nightstand is an antique purchased at a tag sale.
An antique wooden box is the plant's pedestal.
The pictures feature Kansas bridges by a local photographer.
The wooden magazine holder just visible to the right was my
husband's grandmother's.

The mantle is a newer purchase and mounted on the wall.
The chairs are antique and came with a letter written to a wife when the husband gave her these chairs--I bought the chairs because of the letter!

Here's a close-up view of one of the chairs.
They both have needlepointed seats that are original.

Hope you enjoyed another room tour and that your week is wonderful.  Thanks for reading.  Robin

  1. Beautiful room! I would have bought the chairs for the letter, too! Do you have the letter displayed?

  2. What a lovely bedroom. I love all the furniture. I'm a big fan of iron beds and this is lovely. I like the way you do business, I would have purchased the chairs for the letter too. Great chairs. I love a fireplace in the bedroom, it makes the room so cozy. I'm visiting from WW.
