This is the story of a tree that was ill.
It didn't look too bad in the daylight with all of the lights on...
BUT
come nightfall, and the tale tale signs were beginning to show
a dark spot here, a dark spot there...
For the past two years we'd tried to heal the holes
in the lights and we'd all limped along pretending
that next year the tree would be better
(or we'd figure out how to fix it)
It was difficult to see such a new tree in such ill-health
and this tree was supposed to be immuned to lights failing!
The box stated that one light could go out and the rest would stay lit!
This was supposed to be our long-term tree.
Then, this year,
the big blowout happened...
just as I was coming down with the worse bronchitis I ever known,
I must have made the sick tree too!
We are both feeling a little spotty!
Luckily the packages didn't catch the virus and still look sparkly...
Merry Christmas
and
Best Wishes for a
Wonderful New Year!
Still looks beautiful! Merry Christmas

DeleteWhat a funny story. I think we all can relate! The tree looked spectuliar, however it was your fireplace that caught my eye! Happy New Year!

Thanks for finding the humor! Sometimes I wonder how it comes across. Thanks for the comment on the fireplace. It is newly painted. Happy New Year to you too!
