We have neighbors that anyone would treasure...they are friendly, helpful and, most importantly, easy to live next door to. About a year ago, they bought a beach house in South Carolina and invited us to use it! I thought it was terribly nice of them, but quietly decided we probably never would until my husband told them we'd love to take them up on their offer this May! Let me just tell you, this beach house was amazing and I had to share it with you. Enjoy the tour.
The house sits on a lagoon that is connected to a marsh. We loved watching the marsh fill with the high tides and drain with the low tides. Did you know that the marshes are considered the nurseries of the oceans? The ocean creatures come to the marshes to have their babies and the marshes provide protection from predators.
The fish in this lagoon jumped out of the water constantly and were very entertaining....so was the small alligator!
The dining area was the first area we saw when we walked in.
The living room, just beyond the dining area.
A white slip-covered sofa...be still my beating heart!
That sofa, so dang cute!
The living room chairs. The navy leather was a recliner and the beachy chair (that I just love to pieces) was a swivel-rocker! I was just in seventh heaven in that chair! And I just have to point out that end table with louvers and the lamp too! Too cute! (I know lot of exclamation points, but I am so excited looking at these pictures and recalling the good time we had)
These gorgeous shells were on the coffee table in the living room--
love that drift wood piece too!
Come back again and I'll show you some of the five bedrooms. Most of them had their own bathroom! A great home-away-from-home for extended family and guests.
As always, thanks for reading and come back to see the rest of this great beach house!
