I am a woman of few words today, SHOCK! So, I'll just let the pictures tell the story of what used to be our dining room. In ten years of living in the house, we'd used the dining room ONCE! I couldn't stand it, and it made better use of the house for our family to use it as a piano room. We have a large kitchen that can accommodate our gatherings, so here are the pictures. Enjoy!
Yes, my daughter and I both play piano. Me, not so well, her much better than her Mom. I purposely did not put a rug under the piano because I like the sound better bouncing off the wood floor.
This is an antique side-by-side I use to hold my pretties.
This piece was my Grandmother's--sorry about that lamp cord!
A view of the windows that bathe this room in wonderful light.
The little trunk holds my music collection--most of of.
The grandfather clock was a gift from my
husband's parents on the birth of our first child.
As always, thanks for reading.

ReplyDeleteA piano lends a certain elegant presence to a room as nothing else can do . It's simply beautiful.
ReplyDeleteA few years ago I sold my living room sofa and had bookcases, cabinets and computer desk built-in. I never needed a formal living room but we did need a place for our computer and all the stuff that goes with it. I've never regretted it.
